Too expensive.Small room and small bathroom. The vacum cleaner and other stuff were always in the tiny hallway.
The location is close to perfection, in the heart of Saint Germain is easy to go to everywhere in the old city, sometimes walking.
The room I took, the 321, is isolated, and it was forgotten to be done in the first night. Early in the morning, the staff started working and I woke up everyday with the noise of doors being slam.
Close proximity to the shops in St. Germain and the major attractions in Paris such as the Louvre, Notre Dame and Musee d'Orsay.
No shower curtain
Due to the fact that the hotel is situated in the heart of Saint Germain, I used to be a regular guest since the last 20 years. But after 20 years visiting this hotel it was really the last time I ever stayed there. I was hopeful for some renovations which took place in recent years, but this did not continue in the last years. So most of the (very small) rooms are still the same as before. Bathrooms do have the same furnishing as in the 70's- 80's, the only contemporary thing is they put a flatscreen tv against the wall. Last but not least the service is 0,0. Hotel employees don't even look as they see guests struggling with luggage. And what to think of the vacuum cleaner, which was for 2 days in front of our door. never again!!
Excellent location, nice decor and ambiance, very friendly staff.
Rooms are small, but typical of the area in Paris.
Entire staff very friendly and Alexandra extremely helpful in locating places I needed to go and with other requests as well.
Carpet on floor upstairs is a bit shabby. They should upgrade soon.
Excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Great location. Perhaps in need of a little updating of the rooms but overall very satisfied and would stay again.
The only good thing is location. Central to most things in the city.
Too many. Rooms are small, old and filthy, internet only works at lobby, no shower curtain, no English-language TV channels...
great location and quiet for being in the middle of paris.we could get to everything mostly by walking.
thought the breakfast was to high priced
Staircase. Carpet on stairs and hallways looked old and dirty
Hotel location was excellent, close to everything we needed. Staff was mostly very helpful.
Cost per sq ft, very expensive. You could shower and use toilet at same time.
the location is the best part about it.
The attitude of the staff was enough to make me never want to stay there again.
Great and friendly staff.
Most guests were adults. I had qa family with a crying baby next to me for two nights. It was uncomfortable.
Location is excellent. WiFi worked fine in my room and was no additional charge: hotel advertises WiFi only in common areas and for an hourly charge -- I may have been lucky with my room (on top floor), and their billing policy may have changed. Breakfast was typical "continental" fare and fine for the price. Location is excellent.
Room was quite small by American standards but acceptable given the price. Bathroom was also small and shower was tiny, but the staff kept both quite clean.
The location is superb on the Left Bank. Close to the action but on the rather quiet rue Jacob. The lobby area is up to date but the rooms are a little long in the tooth. That said, they are clean and the air conditioning is excellent. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, lotion. The woman behind the desk during the day is efficient and cool. The night staff is more welcoming, helpful and friendly. It seems a little expensive for the quality of the room but I guess you're paying for location.
The hotel is fine though a little shabby.
